In September partners of the project met for their first transnational meeting in Porvoo/Vantaa, Finland.
People 50+ back to work is a Nordplus development Project for finding methods for recognising prior learning of adults.
The Project outcome is a common method of recognising prior learning of key competencies of adults 50+. The new tool/method will help teachers and career planners in their work defining individual learning paths for people over 50 and career counselling.
The Project aims to answer to following questions:
- how to recognize prior learning of key competences needed in work life (e.g. communication and cooperation skills, entrepreneurial skills, self-management skills, ict-skills..)
- the ways to use that information in career counselling of people over 50
The Project partners from Finland, Sweden Denmark and Estonia will learn best practices of the project countries in career counselling (in vocational education) of the unemployed people over 50, looking for a job.
