The international project "Step forward into growth" is gaining momentum. The main goal of the project is to create a unified platform of training methods aimed at supporting self-directed learning in the workplace and to increase the number of opportunities for developing transferable skills for employees of various enterprises and organizations.
Within the framework of this project, the second meeting of the group was held, consisting of representatives from three partner organizations based in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, whose activities relate to adult learning. This time the meeting took place on May 11-12, 2017 in the hospitable Latvian town of Ligatne.
We discussed the methods we use for training in the workplace and other methods that could be applied in organizations. The working group discussed further steps for testing the proposed methods. The participants analyzed these methods and identified the potential opportunities for applying them to different types of organizations.
Within the framework of the meeting, there were already opportunities for testing some methods, since the meeting was held in the center of Amatu creative training. A master class and excursions were held for the project participants. Representatives of the organizations discussed among themselves the possibilities for applying methods to creative/art organizations and identified the potential for further development.
A friendly atmosphere, mutual understanding, and the general mood of all participants for long-term and fruitful cooperation contributed positively to the implementation of all planned activities within the framework of this meeting. This once again proves the importance of a positive physical, and to a greater extent, psychological environment for the successful learning and achievement of results.
